怎么样哪位哥们搞个SecondLife2.0?
Q:When did you start blogging new media art and interaction design works? Why you are interested in this field and what brings you to this place?
A:It started in march 2004. actually a bit before that. I had met max paccagnella who was working in a communication company and was fiddling a lot with mobile phones in his free time. He had developed some artistic applications for mobile phones. one of them to make outdoor performances with mobile phones. His partner at the communication company got interested in what he was doing and at some point managed to sell the application to one of the biggest mobile phone companies in italy. So max and i thought: on the one hand there are those artists, amateurs or hackers doing what they are not supposed to do with technology and on the other hand those who develop, manufacture and sell these same technologies. Do these two worlds meet? we thought i was interesting to investigate the subject. best way to start was to document what we could find about it. So we did a blog about it and called it we-make-money-not-art.Q:Does your blog have financial sponsor? If not, do you have to work on other freelance jobs to keep this site up?
A:There’s some google ads, not very successful i’m afraid. Plus, there’s a space for banners. usually occupied by art schools and art galleries. To make both ends meet, i give lectures, talk at workshops and conferences and write articles for magazines.
